Doreen Philbin holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Southern California. She is a mom who left a career in marketing to homeschool her child Jen (then 3 years old) all the way through high school. Jen was a charter member of Speakers League, climbing to Level III in the club before moving on to other pursuits. Doreen’s mission is to help students to enjoy and excel at public speaking while learning valuable leadership and professional skills that will serve them throughout their lives. Speakers League was a favorite homeschool activity in the Philbin family! In 2017, Doreen continued this pursuit, and she enjoys running several online and in-person clubs for homeschoolers and traditional schoolers alike, throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
